Description

Cool, rare and fun are three ways you could describe this 1971 Ford Mustang Convertible with Mach 1 styling. It's cool simply because it's a Mustang, a muscle car, and a drop top all in one. It's rare since ford only produced 6,121 convertibles in 1971. Only 884 convertibles had the H-code 351 engine paired with an FMX transmission. Even more rare, only 27 total Mustangs in 1971 were painted Medium Goldenrod Yellow with a CA trim code! The 351 Cleveland under the hood breathes through a Mach 1 style hood with open air cleaner and purrs through dual exhaust with chrome tips. It rests in a very nicely detailed engine compartment with power steering. That V8 is mated to an FMX automatic transmission and then connects with a Ford 9” rear end to put the power to the ground. Inside is in great shape with white knitted vinyl bucket seats with a center console. Mach 1 stripes and 15” Halibrand style alloy wheels with real knock-offs give this car a very muscular profile. The brake calipers have been painted yellow as well and look great peeking through the wheels. Front and rear spoilers and bold Mach 1 decals finish off the look, making this car attractive from every angle. The trunk is nicely finished with a correct trunk mat, jacking instructions sticker and spare tire. This Mustang was restored in 2007 and has been driven less than 1,000 miles since the restoration was completed. Don't miss your chance to own this one of a kind collectible Mustang convertible.
